If your organisation does not have DGR and TCC status at the time of submission, you will be unable to submit an on-line application to the Telstra Foundation.
What the Telstra Foundation Community Development Fund will not support:
• Areas considered to be the direct responsibility of government
• Travel, study or conferences (unless incidental to a project being funded)
• General maintenance or overhead expenses (unless part of a specific project)
• Programs with a religious, political or sectarian purpose
• Individuals
• Other foundations, trusts or philanthropic organisations to fund their general objectives
• For-profit projects or activities (social enterprise may be considered)
• Requests for Telstra products or activities
• Requests for sponsorship
• Projects outside of Australia
• Endowments, memorials or named academic chairs
• Retrospective costs
• General fundraising appeals
• Major building works as the sole purpose of the application
• Government entities
Conditions of Grants:
• A full project evaluation must be built into the project in order to provide annual progress reports and a final report of the project outcomes and impact.
• Notices of Endorsement from the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient and as a Tax Concession Charity must accompany your application.
• The Telstra Foundation may visit the site of any organisation to which it intends to provide a grant at times and conditions to be agreed between parties.
• Details of all grants provided by the Community Development Fund will be made public.
• Grant recipients will be required to sign a Grant Agreement before payment is made.
