Applying for a grant

PROGRAM CLOSED 26 APRIL 2009

Applications will be considered in the order they are received and a limited number of grants are available.

To complete the grant application form you will need details of the not-for-profit organisation and its purposes.

The applicant will be required to:
• Demonstrate how the organisation provides community benefit
• Describe their contribution to the organisation
• Provide the organisation’s bank account details and verification, such as a copy of a recent bank statement
• Provide documented evidence of the position held if applying for a Community Connection Leadership Grant

Please read these tips and hints before beginning your application

Application Process

Step 1 Complete the simple online application form

Step 2 Telstra employees will receive a confirmation email once the application is submitted
If you do not receive notification in 3 days of submitting the application please call Telstra Foundation on 1800 208 378
(An applicant must be employed by Telstra Corporation Limited.)

Step 3 The Telstra Foundation meet to evaluate and endorse Community Connection Grant applications

Step 4 Employees will be notified of the outcome of application in mid May 2009

Step 5 Documentation will be emailed to successful employees to forward to the organisation

Step 6 Funding will be deposited into the organisation’s bank account by the end of June 2009
Grant Conditions

• The Telstra Foundation retains the final discretion to offer grant amounts or to defer a decision on all applications.
• The Telstra Foundation will provide one-off financial support only.
• The Telstra Foundation Community Connection Grants money can only be paid into an organisation’s bank account, not an individual’s bank account.
• Details of all grants provided by the Telstra Foundation Community Connection Grants may be made public.
• The Telstra Foundation may ask the organisation to provide evidence to confirm not-for-profit status.
• The Telstra Foundation may visit the site of any organisation to which it intends to provide a grant. Conditions of the visit will be agreed to between the parties.
